Travelers will find fewer places to stay in Brooklyn Center after the city council revoked the license for a hotel that was also operating a medical clinic.

Report Says Brooklyn Park Council Member Violated Code of Conduct

An investigation says a Brooklyn Park city council member violated the city’s Elected Officials Rules of Procedure and Code of Conduct.
The report stems from a hostile workplace complaint filed against Brooklyn Park City Council Member Maria Tran in January.
In the complaint, a Brooklyn Park city staff member wrote that Tran had “repeated public accusations and disparaging innuendos” on several occasions.

Empire Foods Celebrates ‘Remarkable’ Opening at Former Brooklyn Center Walmart Site

Cymbals crashed and drums pounded as two dragons danced and thrashed across the floor of Empire Foods, celebrating the opening of Brooklyn Center’s newest ethnic grocery store.
It’s located in the city’s former Walmart building at 1200 Shingle Creek Crossing.
The retail giant shuttered its doors in Brooklyn Center last April.

Trees are an overarching part of Sydney Hudzinski’s life. As a forestry technician for the city of Plymouth, she’s often up among the leaves and branches.
“Trees are so gorgeous, and they’re such wonderful beings that we have on this planet,” she said. “The ability to get paid to climb trees is just wild. It’s such a serene feeling up in the canopies, especially when you get like a light breeze, it’s just indescribable.”
